MOMENT | 2005 - Cork, Ireland

An intergenerational, intermedia, ensemble project involving residents of O’Connell Court, a sheltered housing project for older adults, with contemporary artists and students from schools in the area. Created and directed by Molly Sturges, the ensemble created the MOMENT Tea Performances which integrated video, storytelling, movement, sound art and music.  Featuring a gamelan set created from tea cups, the performances were located in the sheltered housing and were consistently sold out. The project created a strong sense of social inclusion, and capacity building.
