Urban Verbs' Hakim Bellamy Named Albuquerque's First Poet Laureate

On April 14, in a ceremony at the Albuquerque Downtown Public Library, Hakim Bellamy was named the City of Albuquerque's First Poet Laureate.  Mayor Richard Berry announced the city's first poet laureate appointment and Santa Fe Poet Laureate Joan Logghe and New Mexico Centennial Poet Levi Romero read poems as well as paid tribute to the new position.  Hakim Bellamy is a member of Urban Verbs, along with Carlos Contreras and Colin "Diles" HazelbakerLittleglobe congratulates Hakim; we are proud to serve as fiscal sponsor for Urban Verbs.

Sing to The Santa Fe River with Littleglobe

Join our one-day, improvisational, site-specific choir.  You don't even need to be able to sing!

In conjunction with the Rivers Run Through Us project, you are invited to join us in our improvisational site-specific choir on behalf of the Santa Fe River.  No experience is necessary, and all ages--children, youth, adults, elders, families--are encouraged and so welcome! You don't need to think of yourself as a musician or a singer. You don't need to be able to read music. All you need to do is show up we will guide you through the rest.

We've scheduled one rehearsal (see below) and we thought, why not?  Let's just invite all our Littleglobe friends and supporters for food and fun, whether you want to join the choir or not.  Join us on April 29th to eat, relax, and spend some good creative time with us!
