MICA COMMUNITY ARTS FELLOWSHIP

AFFILIATED LG ARTISTS

In 2010, Littleglobe was chosen by the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) as one of five fellows for its Community Arts Convening and Research Project.  The Community Arts Convening and Research Project is funded by the Nathan Cummings Foundation (NCF) and is guided by the vision that community-grounded arts and culture enhance the well-being, development, empowerment, and voice of under-resourced communities.

During 2011, Littleglobe held small gatherings of artists and practitioners as well as created a collection of twelve essays about creative community engagement work.  These essays have now been published and appear at MICA

Littleglobe is grateful to core artists and creative affiliates for writing these important essays:  Valerie Martinez, Molly Sturges, Chris Jonas, Erin Hudson, Chrissie Orr, Kialo Winters, Terri Winters, Rulan Tangen, Elsa Menendez, Laura Eberhardt and Mindy Grossberg and Michelle Otero.
